i can only confirm that the issues you are seeing have been fixed and the performance is much better. it's certainly not perfect but you can expect the same performance as the steam controller on non-multi-core systems. the steamlink has a fairly small amount of processing to do and it's been tested for the past year on the non multi-core systems. the live stream is handled on the server side and virtualhere handles the local stream. if there is an issue with the client side, the client can call virtualhere and ask for an update.

this is not in any way a solution to the problem you are experiencing. virtualhere is not a game streaming service. it is a device which can read sensor information from any game controller. when you are streaming a game over the steam link, the steam link is the primary device (in this case the console). when you are using the steam link, the console is an additional device on top of the steam link. however, the steam link is the master device. for example, if you plug a controller into the steam link, it will take care of the control loop and then pass the data to the steam link for processing. it is the steam link which is actually transmitting the data, not the controller. if you plug a controller into another console, the controller has no way to know if it is sending the data to the steam link. there are several potential solutions to this problem. one is to use software like usb remote. another is to use a software like virtualhere to act as a hub for connecting several controllers.
i have a problem with steam link. every time i'm streaming using this application, it cannot find the server address. i mean, every time i'm trying to play a game i'm getting this message: "steam can't establish a connection to the server" or "steam is not responding". the only option is to exit the application. if i exit the application, i can restart it and try again, but i can't play games like counter strike, because i have to exit the game to restart steam. i'm using a router. i tried to change the port but nothing happened. this problem has been happening for months. i'm not sure what to do, i've tried everything. hi, i have purchased the full version of virtualhere for steam link. so when i try to launch it, the app is launched but the ui is not loaded and the apps becomes invisible. if i restart the device the ui gets loaded properly, but, the problem is if i turn on the device again, the app becomes invisible again. steam link is an integrated virtual device and i haven't needed anything other than the big box application for my experience. if it's the case that you use virtualhere, big box, and steam link and everything is working fine, then try going in the big box app and disabling all the other virtual devices and see if that helps. i have this same problem, trying to connect the wheel to virtual here with the steam link interface. can you confirm that you are using the steam link in the virtualbox virtual machine and not your desktop machine? the steam link is using the desktop gpu in that case. hey tony, i had the same issue using the xbox controller with the steam link. i used the android tv (usb hub) and set it up to auto connect whenever the xbox controller is plugged in. i didn't have any issues. i tried running the game in windows and it worked great. 5ec8ef588b
