The film received mixed reviews, and the critics were not kind to it. However it is getting more of a warm reception from the audience. VARUVAAYA is my favorite film of 2013. It is refreshing, is not a typical romantic movie, and really carries some message.
Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa is a love story about two grown up people. Karthik(Simbu) and Jessie(Trisha)meet each other, one unassuing evening.....And it's love at first sight, for Karthik.
Not having seen a beauty such as Jessie in years passed by, Karthik is love struck, dumbstruck, and spellbound...all at once. Jessie is the next door, in the typical sence. Secretive glance make way to obvious glance and the two get acquainted sooner or later. What begins with an unexpected friendship breaks boundaries to take shape as Love.
Unable to hold his emotions, Karthik doesn't allow his feelings to rest for too long when
he propose to Jessie one abrupt morning that leaves her in a state perplex.
Silence from both ends.......
Followed by regretful thoughts.....
And decisions to be made...........
As Love choose its own route, familiarity makes way for a healthy yet simple relationship
between Karthik and Jessie. Just when life seems perfect surrounded by the indescribable
feeling of love, unfathomable feeling of the heart, and the unknown pages from the future;
Jessie brings out her uncertainly over the relationship leaving Karthik in a state of
perplex, this time around........
Simply put, the film says - Love is beautiful but it can be painful too.....
A R Rahman is too good to be true. He has the same charm that people had come to know from his songs. He speaks like a human being. The movie itself is definitely phenomenal. The songs in the movie have been very well used, used in the manner the character. Not only that, the locations have also been used in a better way to give an exotic touch to the movie. But, I have noticed that there are some flaws here and there. 1) Perhaps it has been too huge a movie for the average viewer to handle. 2) A song is cut in the middle of a drama. It is a rare situation for an average viewer to give you an enigma effect of what the movie was making, making us pity the bad guy. However, this is just a minor flaw. I think its the first movie where I have felt that if I want to watch it again, I have to take 2 hours and watch only that. This is the first film where I had actually decided that I dont want to watch it the next time! That, the elements that made this movie a big hit amongst the audience with tremendous force and they have given it plenty of heat too. Its just been out now but the hype has started already. The reactions have been terrific and the number of downloads have been getting more and more as the day progresses. The cinematography is just perfect in its kind and the best part is that it has been captured and presented at the right key length. There are no jags in the flow of the movie at all and the pace is pretty smooth. The film was made in a very good quality and it has been presented well too. It is for you to decide where youll make it your daily dose. Its a visually stunning movie and its quite apt to take. You wont regret the investment. 5ec8ef588b
