i have not seen a single tekken since tekken 3 so i feel compelled to revisit this classic for its sheer nostalgia value. tekken has seen some of the biggest breakthroughs in gaming history, but the hardest part was getting to that point in the first place. when tekken first came out, there werent many games on the system that could even compare to the ps1, and a lot of that has to do with the fact that the ps1 wasnt an extremely powerful system by today's standards, especially when it came to graphics. and the fact that it was the first ps1 game to feature a polygonal 3d engine that wasnt based off of a previous 3d engine was a major leap for the gaming industry. tekken was the first game to use the tekken 1 engine, and even though it wasnt the prettiest game in the world, it was certainly innovative. it still featured the usual widescreen fighting that fans of the game had come to know and love, but the polygonal graphics allowed it to run so smoothly that it could be played on a crt television with no lag. the only major feature that wasnt present was a selectable color palette that allowed the game to play in monochrome, which was a huge selling point for the game. still, the game was very much a technical marvel.
this is a remake of a 3d fighting game for the playstation. it comes with all of the original’s modes and some new ones:arcade: this mode features a set of characters, all that were ever in the game, and a set of stages (each stage represents a different character’s back story).battle: you fight against other characters (your own teammates, or the computer, or your friend, or a random partner) in a series of rounds.king of battle: this mode is an arcade mode where you fight the entire roster of characters.subway: this is a mode where you battle other players. the match starts with the two players on opposite sides of the stage. they are separated by a wall and can only communicate with a microphone. one player can select a character, and the other must choose a stage. the round ends when a player gets hit. if they are up, they can select a character (while another player must select a stage), and the round continues. if they are down, the round is over. if a player is down and the timer runs out, they get knocked out. new characters (that were previously only playable in the arcade mode) are also available in this mode. this mode has been re-built using the most recent tekken 6 engine.fight money: each player begins the fight with the same starting amount of fight money. the first player to reach 2000 fight money wins. you can only use one character in the fight money mode, and you can only play on modes that do not have a time limit. you can play as many times as you want.fight money 2: the same rules apply as fight money except the fight money is not per round. instead, each player starts with 1000 fight money, and the first player to reach 2000 fight money wins.k.o. rumble: in this mode, the two players fight head to head with up to four characters each. if a player gets knocked down, they are knocked out of the round. this mode supports up to eight characters.tekken chess: in this mode, you battle a set of characters in a board game kind of like chess.
it's tekken! now with the most stunning graphics ever, including the environments and characters in beautiful hd, the best 2d fighting game you have ever seen is now bigger and better than ever. it's tekken! it's always tekken! and now tekken has arrived on the playstation classic: the game! developed from the home version of the original tekken, the new tekken delivers 30 minutes of high-octane action in this game that represents a huge step forward for fans of the series and super-addicting action games. players are now in full control, changing time, and mixing up the action with up to three different fighting techniques as they battle it out on two different action-packed stages. plus, the characters now look more like the art on the cover of the original fighting game for a decidedly more realistic, yet still stylized, look. tekken 7: 3. marvelous story.. its a shame that this game is little-known. its a full-color action beat-'em-up featuring 12 stunning art designs by akira toriyama and megumi hayashibara. there are 3 different modes: story, arcade and tekken mode. its a pretty simple story mode with a few extra characters like katarina, dudley, donovan etc. also, dudley now shaves his legs making it a like a preview of the sonic underground hack. story mode also features a 'hide and seek' technique for those who are tired of knockin' on the doors/windows. in story mode, you can select any four characters with their individual abilities. such as dudley has a sword, mugen can kick, jackson and frank (the 'a team') can confuse an enemy, gatsu and devon (the 'b team') can freeze the enemy and kent can quickly jump on to them. you can unlock more characters, but each character can have only one super move. all characters are selectable only in story mode. 5ec8ef588b
