5. in the other traditions, the nine temples are placed in the brahmakund (goa), manipal (karnataka), chitradurga (tamil nadu), shringeri (maharashtra) and kolhapur (maharashtra). some legends say that the nine navnath pothies were built even in ancient times and were destroyed by a muslim ruler. this is really not true. the nine temples were constructed by the rishis themselves.

A number of festivals and rituals are observed during these holidays. Nearly all these holidays are observed in the night. 7. In addition to these, Navnath celebrated several festivals. One of them is the Dashmeshwar Kalyan, a one-day festival of Navnath. Traditionally, this is celebrated on the last day of the Navratri Festival. Another festival is the Khidki Festival. This is a two-day festival and falls on the first day of the Chaturmasya. This is the only festival in which Navnath shares pithas with his three consorts, Vinayaka, Bhavani and Lakshmi. The first is observed in Krishna Janma Sabha on Navratri, the second in Vinayaka Sabha and the last in Lakshmi Sabha. The next year is dedicated to Maa Bhavani. On the occasion of this festival, Navnath and his consorts dwell in the Bhavani Temple for one month. The last festival is of Maha Shivratri. In this three day festival, one can find special rituals, many sacred pithas, and also over 100000 people. This festival is the second largest of the year in Ahmedabad. 5ec8ef588b
