You can brighten or sharpen certain colors; this could apply to colors in the shadows or midtones of your image if you’re creating a silhouette. You can use the Levels Adjustment Layer to adjust the amount of light in your image.
3. Saturation — This refers to the purity of the colors in your image. The more pure the colors, the more vivid the color.
4. Color — This is the total amount of color, some of which could be red, green, or blue, or a combination.
How It Works: Using layers, each color corresponds to a different object that you want to show. You can “stretch”, or expand, or shrink, and even rotate each layer. You can also add, erase, or erase the background. For example, to make your subject stand out more and the background appear faded, you must “erase” the background, or use a soft brush.
