I have done a lot of German language preparation in the past, but this time, I went a step further. I researched for resources that covered the local English dialects of the German language proficiency test listening comprehension and reading comprehension. In this regard, I was lucky - the website - Telc Deutsch from DEPERTECH sponsored my research.
By and by, there was one last question about my German language skills in writing - 3 hours - which had to be done on-site. Like every other section, I used a DEPERTECH book to prepare. This time, it was " TELC B2 Exam’s Guide to Writing-D6 ". The study guide had three sections - The approach, the content and the final impression. I used the first two sections.
Let's talk about the telc Deutsch B2 exam's format:
- the exam's objective - to test your German language skills in all subjects
- the test duration - 30 minutes
- the audio and video of the test - 16 questions in total
- the duration between questions - 3 minutes
- the interrstion of the test - Read and write simple sentences, pronounce and understand simple sentences, and use an interactive real-world dialog in each section
- the test section (s) - Grouped into reading, writing, listening, and speaking
Which exams am I preparing for now? I am currently preparing for the telc Deutsch B2 test. It is expected to replace the telc B1 Deutsch B2 exam in 2020.
