The verdict on the Windows 95 edition is quite straightforward: it works but is pretty ugly. The graphics are noticeably worse than those found in the Amiga and Mac releases, and the performance is an absolute stinker. If you like the game on other platforms, and you're willing to wait a little longer to play it, then you'll be pleased to know that the games still works today. That Windows 95 edition costs a fair whack and is unlikely to fit on a modern display, but until the day that we can afford a GOG boxed version of the game, we can at least provide this patch to improve on the aged graphics.
And of course, even if you stick with the original Windows release, you can still enjoy the entire series of games, although you will be missing out on most of the extra content! If you are interested in installing this patch, use the tools provided to download the patch, and double-click on the patch to install it on your system. Selecting Install, or Run, will place the installation file in your Heroes Of Might and Magic III (Complete Edition) folder and launch it. Remember to select install if you have already installed the game, and run if you have not installed it before. To get to the Patch Tools then select Settings from the menu on the top left of the Patch Tools. From here you will be able to select the patch you wish to apply. Select Install to install the patch and Enter to apply it. You will be prompted to confirm that you wish to apply the patch as the installation file is renamed with the prefix Patch__1.0.0. Press Finish to apply the patch. Enjoy the games improved graphics.
