i like this film a lot more than the other three. i think the scenes with the bugs are very cute, i like the theme of books and imagination and i love that theres a cat character in it (dont ask). the music is also well done. my favorite song is theres theres no need to change it; it fits the movie beautifully. i love the dancing in this film too. the choreography for the dances are great, and the animation is really cute. i also really liked the overall story of the film. i like how theres some stuff going on beneath the surface that dont come to the surface in the movie. theres also a lot of humor in the movie which i love. i think that theres also some great jokes in the movie, like the little boy looking for the prince and his sister, and that stuff. theres also a lot of great characters in the movie. i think that theres a lot of characters in this movie that i like, like rowena and lola, and that stuff. the little boy with the spider is also really cute. theres also a lot of good interactions between the characters, like the princesses talking to the little boy, and the dancing and the talking, and theres also some funny lines and jokes in the movie. i also like the style of the movie, i think theres a lot of style in the movie. i think that theres a lot of style in this movie, like the style of the costumes and the paintings and stuff, and that stuff. theres also some cool characters in the movie, like the main characters, and that stuff.

that leaves the rest of the cast and their characters to carry the film, and though they were written by elana lesser and cliff ruby, they also came in flat and unfinished. brittney (genevieve) is a pretty girl who is given the absolute worst haircut i've ever seen in a movie, and comes off as a cloying tween who is mostly passive and gets over the film's best joke pretty quickly. she comes across as weak and indecisive, who only seems to make up her mind to help genevieve get out of the tower after she decides that she wants to be a ballerina. as for lacey (rowena), she was supposed to represent the strong point of the film, and is the only princess to be given a character arc, her storyline focuses on her developing a sense of magic and helping genevieve with her dancing. however, lacey's arc is the most poorly written, with every new obstacle being presented as a logical enough step to go back and do more to improve rowena's character, and only getting to the point where her character begins to come into her own at the very last moment. lacey is finally saved from being a bland, bland princess only to be saved by a horse. not to worry, though, its still funny. if anything, the movies biggest flaw is that theres no passion in it. especially where the dancing is concerned. the princesses dance because the title demands that they dance, but it never actually reflects any of their personalities or influences their actions. yes, the dancing in swan lake and the nutcracker was pointless, too, but the concept of dancing was never so central to the plot as it is in 12 dancing princesses. these girls love dancing so much that theyll do it all night long and wear out their shoes. they dont just go to this underground world to hang out and complain about rowena no, they go there to dance and dance and dance. but throughout the film their other interests reading, studying bugs, walking on stilts are emphasized just as much as the dancing, if not more so. and, call me crazy, but i feel like in a movie where dancing is the hook, you need to feel how the characters really love to dance. im talking in their souls. like shall we dance or strictly ballroom-level love to dance. 5ec8ef588b
