The FS2Crew FS2Crew plugin for the Legacy In seat control aircraft is quite effective. It incorporates all of the features that we have in FS2Crew, in addition to several features that we did not know existed until we tried the software. The configuration is very straight-forward. The controls are intuitive and very easily customized. The great news is that this is also a stand alone product, although the FS2Crew FS2Crew files are definitely an asset to Legacy In. This is a great add-on to Legacy In for FS2Crew users.
From the outset, FS2Crew PMDG has proven to be an extremely positive experience for our full-motion sim flying. From the initial setup, to the wonderful 'new-to-me' settings that work on my newer hardware (an AMD processor), to a feature set that allowed me to create complex checklists, implement a new radio communications protocol, and produce a detail checklist for the Airbus A3F (in my initial testing, a smaller little A319), I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with FS2Crew PMDG. With FS2Crew, I can quickly and easily fly the FSL Airbus A3F, add-on very well (2D Mode), and update detailed checklists for a variety of events.
The more I fly with this add-on, the more I realize how this add-on is just a reminder of why we have simulators in the first place. Using FS2Crew PMDG, it's not that I can't manage to fly a similar aircraft 'properly' in FS2004, it's that I don't feel the need to -- I don't lose time setting up a similar set of options for every new aircraft I fly. I don't get better and faster at flying, but I do feel more comfortable doing so, and this is essentially the core of why flight simulators are being used. I can fly and make my mistakes in the simulator without such intense repercussions. FS2Crew PMDG has done a remarkable job -- I can barely take a break from it now, and with 'Evening Standard' campaign in full swing, I'm sure I won't! Thanks!
hello all, i am an amateur radio operator and have been playing with the fs2004 fs2crew pmdg simile to the reallife version. i have been using the fs2crew source codes from the fs2004 fs2crew site. i have made a few changes to the fs2crew, and am looking for help to get them working. i would like to create an archive so that i can post it on the fs2crew site. my question is: what are the differences between the reallife version and the fs2crew version? some of the differences i can see are: the fs2crew version does not work with the airborne fs2004 version, since i can't seem to create that version of the game. the fs2crew version does not have a level editor feature. the fs2crew version does not have a modify objects feature. the fs2crew version does not have a modify surface animations feature. can anyone tell me what the differences are between the reallife and the fs2crew version? can anyone tell me how i can get the fs2crew version to work with the airborne fs2004 version? i am using the fs2crew version 1.1, which is the latest version, and the fs2crew version 1.0, which is the earliest version. i am using fs2crew version 1.0, but i got it from a different site than from which the fs2crew version 1.1 came from. fs2crew is based on the fs-unix project, but with updates to allow both linux and windows users to contribute, and with a few modifications to effectively provide more crew functionality than the original fs-unix project has. this list is currently used to plan and coordinate events for the fs2002 fsf events in 2008. a good reason to use fs2crew is to be able to create a single list for all fsf events in 2008. all fsf events in 2008 are directly or indirectly related to fs2 and fs2crew. 5ec8ef588b
