The combat system is simple enough to get the hang of, and the level design never feels too repetitive or boring. If you're just looking for a good mobile game to while away some time on the bus or at the gym, Elden Ring is a good choice. The first thing you'll see upon first load is a simple tutorial. As is typical in these type of games, you'll be tasked with killing a large enemy named Gullum, who the tutorial tells you is our god-king and will grant you access to your avatar. After getting the tutorial over with, you'll be given a choice between simple and hardcore modes, though both are identical from what we could tell. Hardcore mode will give you no help in controlling your character, so we'd recommend sticking with the default settings. I'm glad we did, as the game is pretty clear about any of the mechanics available to the player. For example, there is a little bar to the right of the map that fills up with money. As more of it fills up, your armor will increase in value. Right clicking will give you the option to equip armor. At the bottom right, there is a menu button that lets you switch weapons on the go, and cycle through your hand. Finally, the left/right shoulder buttons will let you move your character around
