This is the best digital photo editor in the world and there is not a doubt in my mind that this is the case. Because it is a dream to use, it has become the standard and everything else is compared to it. Let me be perfectly clear that this is not just my opinion but the opinion of many of the most prominent people in the computer industry. I have discussed this topic with all of them, and the result is in my view—and the view of many of these folks—is that Photoshop is the best photo editing application, and the best software period. To say it is the best is not to the contrary of saying it is the most powerful, or includes all of the needed features. It is unique in its simplicity, its ease of use and user-friendliness, and I will explain how in this article.

The software that started it all is still at the center of the Photoshop universe, and the biggest changes to the program are much the same as they have been since CS5. For starters, the enormous CMYK and RGB channels, which were introduced in the original Photoshop, have simply been reorganized into four smaller channels for easy editing.
