One of the hardest photographic tasks is properly balancing exposure, especially to get the proper amount of ambient light into photos in dark environments. HDR can produce some truly amazing results, but you had better know what you’re doing and pick the right photo – or you’ll get some useless images that look like a poor day on the beach. I’ve already covered this in my “High dynamic range” section of this review. HDR is already available in ‘Adobe Camera Raw’ and will be in ‘Adobe Photoshop’ in due course. However, there’s still quite a bit of work to do. Nature report should look significantly better with HDR enabled, and they’ll work with some different tools too. Note that the HDR workflow I get from Lightroom4 is still also available in Photoshop CC.
