The new Adobe Camera Raw 8.9 update, of course, belongs to this update, is the fourth in a series of updates to a feature that has been present in Lightroom since version 2. As with all components of Lightroom, Adobe has improved this feature to the level of its desktop editing tool and now allows editing with a regular number of RAW files at the same time.
One important thing worth mentioning is that NLE and digital editing programs such as Lightroom and Adobe Premiere have unique tools that can be used individually or in combination. In Lightroom, we have to work with a single image and hence we interact with it in a number of ways. There are the camera controls, monitor controls, image adjustments, filters, and so on. Admittedly, Photoshop has its own way of working and features the tools separately, giving us more flexibility in a way. However, it is mostly in terms of macro working and creative editing that we do not have an alternative. The new Photoshop CC update makes some effort to adapt to that situation. There is a new pull-down menu called Macro that allows you to access the interface’s default tools, and it does not really interfere with the rest of the interface.
The other change is the tool Nik Silver Efex Pro, which I will discussed in detail in the next chapter.
