Fears of a digital Trojan horse have been confirmed this week. Malware has been found in a popular multiplayer game.
When scanning for the most popular video games recently, researchers at computer security firm McAfee discovered the recent creation of a malicious code that has been embedded in a popular multiplayer online game called “Halo 3: ODST”. Although the malware was created as an extension to the game, “experts have linked it to espionage concerns”, according to MalwareMustDie.
Halo 3: ODST is developed by a team of Microsoft employees and is a multiplayer game where your character has both a human and a machine (Avatar) form. Players can play both with friends or with strangers online. It has already been released and a lot of people have tried it out in order to find out how to play.
“Halo 3: ODST contains a Trojan horse program. Computer users visiting the main Halo 3 page at the Halo Community website (www.Halo-3.com) will be redirected to a fake copy of the main Halo 3 website (www.Halo-3.com.win).” reads McAfee’s analysis. “The fake website is a Trojan-infected page that contains malicious code. The user is alerted to the infection by the appearance of a warning message box on the legitimate website.”
The software was discovered in two different ways. McAfee discovered it by looking at the program’s code before it made it available to the public.
“Since it used an open-source Web-browser plugin, we were able to see the source code before making the hack available to the public,” says Chris Doman of McAfee. “Our own prevention solution caught this program before it reached the wider gaming community.”
It is still unclear if the software was delivered through the game website or through a file downloaded from an external website. McAfee is also working with Microsoft to repair the game.

The owner manual I have is from 1976. It is written by Dodge. There are no photos of the exterior of this vehicle. It only has 4 photos on the interior. The garage door code is on the back of the door that has the "doors up" sign. The door has a sticker that says 7-76. The year of build is 1976. I think the garage door opener might not work correctly. The garage door opens and closes but it is pretty difficult. The owners manual has many good tips on how to get this door working properly. Comment Hi Alan, A blue, 1977 Dodge Jamboree 2-ton motorhome, 6 slides (19'), 3 wheels/tires. I tried to see if there was a 7-76, sticker on the door; there was NOT, no date at all on the door either. The garage door opener is working ok; it opens and closes. The interior door handles do not work. The owners manual is an 8+1 booklet with many photo's inside; pretty good tips on where to locate switches and other details. There is a wiring diagram with a list of parts and a part # next to each part. This Dodge motorhome has an A/C unit, with an aluminum (aluminized) outer housing. The only switch on the exterior of the roof is the A/C switch; it looks like a switch on a panel that would be near the spare tire/jack. The lights in the roof are the factory ground light in the roof, and the rear electric lamp light. The Dodge Jamboree A/C unit is a knock off, or a copy of the original air conditioning unit, if you know what I mean. I did not locate a "solenoid" switch, for operation of the A/C. However, I would like to find out what the interior switch(s) are for the air conditioning, and if they are re-location of the originals; the air conditioner (A/C unit) does not have a full sized electrical receptacle in the f988f36e3a
