Hey I am not getting access button and Facebook ask to use the alternate email id. When I use the alternate email id then I am able to get access button and get in to Account. Even though the hacker changed the password, I have been able to enter by using alternate email id. Any Thoughts
Facebook is saying I am the victim of a hack. I need to send in a code they send by email to their customer service. I believe I already have one, but I need to apply to the old email. I have the new email info but I have to apply to the old which needs my password. If I log in and apply it says password changed. I then need to apply again. Also, my private messages are still gone. I do have the "are you sure" but I need to apply to the old email.
I have not been able to access my wife's account in Facebook using her phone number. I first tried an app called "Facebook Password". When I filled in the required information, then a code, I wasn't able to enter my account using the code. So, I tried using SMS. I realized that the code I entered from the application was the wrong password. So, I used another code the application sent me. When I entered that code in to Facebook, it said, "Too many attempts, please try again."" Then, I tried another code. Still, "Too many attempts." So, I did a factory reset on my wife's phone to clean it out. I reset the e-mail address I was using for the phone number. I bought a new SIM. I tried to use the app again. Same result. "Too many attempts."
I would like to get the code via email, but usually when I go to change the password the code comes up in the account manager and I cannot figure out how to put in the email. The password code on the screen doesn't work for some reason. I would appreciate help, thank you!
