as the film goes on,it gets a little more complex. in between,it is a light-hearted romantic comedy.on the side,it has the classic song-and-dance numbers.in fact,it has more than one-but still manages to retain the quality of the initial numbers. with so many types of songs,tere ghar ke samne presents a range of emotions. it is a film that any fan of romantic comedy will enjoy. in this part,it is dev and nutan's love story.sudha is the daughter of nutan's friend. nutan is forced to tell her that he is a single man, and that he does not have a girl friend. meanwhile,in bombay,dev is in a relationship with his singer wife,shobhna. he is a senior guy,and his wife is thirty years younger than him. as such,he is unable to get along with nutan's daughter. but nutan forces dev to talk to her,which he does. nutan goes to bombay to see his daughter. while there,he meets sudha. as he was talking to her,dev hears his wife shouting,cheen jao. and nutan leaves. in the process,he drops his wallet,which contains his photograph. the wallet is found by sudha,who is impressed with his looks. she wants to marry him,and her father agrees. she is unhappy with the fact that he lives in a different state. dev also visits his wife,and is told about the entire story. dev is now totally confused. he tells his wife about it,and that he is not sure about it all. but he tells her that he has fallen for sudha,and that he wants to marry her. his wife is happy,but also tells him that she does not have the same feelings. she tells him that she has been living with her husband and children since she is twenty-five,and that she is no longer interested in marriage. dev decides to take a step back,and he leaves. a few days later,dev comes back. he was impressed by the fact that the family accepted him,and that the girl in question was even interested in him. he says that she is his type of girl,and he wants to marry her. to this,sudha's father is not in favour of the marriage. meanwhile,sudha's mother is enamoured with dev,and dev's wife is glad that he is back in their life. she is also angry with her husband,and so is sudha. she wants him to stay away from her family. as a consequence,dev's wife decides to leave him,and goes back to mumbai,unable to live with him. she leaves behind her daughter and son. so,when nutan comes to meet sudha's father,sudha's father tells him that his daughter is engaged to dev. nutan has to choose between dev and his wife. he decides that he wants to get back with his wife,and that he wants to reconcile with her. dev wants to reconcile with his wife,and tells nutan that he wants to get back with her. nutan is happy to hear this. but he tells him that he cannot be with his wife and be with his other wife. dev leaves. a few days later,nutan comes to meet sudha's father,who tells him that his daughter is not happy with her engagement. nutan returns to dev,who is also at the meeting. he apologises for his behaviour,and that he is ready to marry his wife. dev is happy to hear this. he leaves.
